What is a Scrapbook? A scrapbook is a keepsake album of decorative page layouts that encompass memorabilia, photographs and descriptive dialogue. The process of scrapbooking is a way to record the stories of your photos and memories for family, friends, future generations and most importantly, yourself!
	Why Scrapbook Design & You® (SDU®)? At SDU, you will learn all the fundamentals and techniques of scrapbooking in an easy and fun way, no matter what your creative level! SDU gives you all the tools to create your own scrapbook albums with confidence. As a graduate from the program you will have an understanding and value the slogan Theory - Technique - Foundation - Success™.
	Where can I take an SDU® class? Look under Store Listing to find an SDU store in your area.
	Who will teach the SDU classes at my local scrapbook store? SDU is taught by Certified SDU instructors at your local craft and scrapbook stores, who have participated in intense training. An SDU teacher has mastered the complexities of design and is ready to teach you all the design theories and elements so that you can create scrapbook pages effortlessly!
	There are no stores in my area that offer the SDU program. What can I do to get SDU in my area? If you cannot find a participating SDU store on the list in your area, let the manager or owner of your local craft and scrapbook store know that you are interested in taking SDU classes in their store.
	If I live outside of the United States, can I take SDU through correspondence or an online service? SDU is a store-based program and is only offered in certified scrapbook stores. SDU is currently available in several countries and territories outside the US. Including Great Britain, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Puerto Rico, and Spain - please check the Store Listing for locations. SDU is not available as a correspondence, online or mail order program.
	How long does it take to graduate from SDU? SDU is a series of 4 classes that can be taught in a four week time period or in an intensive weekend session - it all depends on your crafting skill level and your store's schedule. Upon completion of the program, you will receive a personalized SDU graduation certificate.
	Who gives me my SDU graduation certificate? The Certified SDU Instructor at the store where you took your SDU classes is responsible for forwarding your certificate to you.
	How much does an SDU class cost? The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (in the US) is $45 for the entire program. This does not include the cost of tools and materials that you will need to complete your personal projects in each class.
	As a store owner how can I get trained to teach SDU? In order to be eligible to teach SDU, you must have a Certified SDU Instructor available to teach at your location. Only stores with a Certified SDU Instructor are able to purchase the materials necessary to teach the Scrapbook Design & You program. If you do not have a Certified SDU Instructor at your location you can inquire with us regarding Certified SDU Instructors in your area, or take advantage of our web-based training program to become a Certified SDU Instructor.
	I often teach scrapbooking on my own. How can I teach SDU® classes? We appreciate your interest in our educational program, and are always interesting in finding talented and passionate instructors to teach the SDU program. Please email sdu@eksuccess.com in order to obtain more information regarding becoming a Certified SDU Instructor.
	I would like to become a Certified SDU Instructor (CSI) where do I go? Visit www.eksuccess.com/SDUTeach. This site will provide you with a current list of available teaching locations. Simply fill out the form, and we will contact you as soon as we have made our decisions.
	What if I am not chosen for the store that I selected? We maintain our entire list of potential instructors through the end of each calendar year. You may resubmit for additional locations, or simply provide us with a range of area that you are willing to travel.
	I have been chosen by the Education Staff at my store location to be certified. Where do I go to begin the training process? If you have been hired by your store location to teach SDU, please email sdu@eksuccess.com with your Full Name, Address, Phone, Email & Store Location. Once we receive this information we will contact you with the necessary information to begin the certification process.
	How much does it cost to take the Certification Training? There is no charge for Certified SDU Instructor Training.
	How do I get paid for teaching? All CSI are independent contractors and are paid based upon the fee structure set forth by the store location they are assigned to.
	Once I am certified can I only teach at the store to which I am currently assigned? CSI carry their certification with them from store to store, and may teach at more than one location, schedule permitting.
	Who is responsible for providing the tools for in-class demonstration? Many stores will have a selection of tools available in their classrooms. Any additional tools that the CSI would like to have to round out their tool kit is completely up to their discretion. We make no purchase requirements from our CSI.
	Can I participate in additional classes, crops, demos in addition to SDU? From time to time EK Success will develop or promote additional classes and demonstrations. We will ask that CSI participate in these events in order to build up their reputation as an instructor and to promote their ongoing SDU program. CSI are encouraged to meet monthly with the store education team to learn about upcoming in-store opportunities.
