What is a Scrapbook? A scrapbook is a keepsake album of decorative page layouts that encompass memorabilia, photographs and descriptive dialogue. The process of scrapbooking is a way to record the stories of your photos and memories for family, friends, future generations and most importantly, yourself!
	Why Scrapbook Design & You® (SDU®)? At SDU, you will learn all the fundamentals and techniques of scrapbooking in an easy and fun way, no matter what your creative level! SDU gives you all the tools to create your own scrapbook albums with confidence. As a graduate from the program you will have an understanding and value the slogan Theory - Technique - Foundation - Success™.
	Where can I take an SDU® class? SDU classes are offered only at select EK Elite scrapbook stores. Look under Store Listing to find an SDU store in your area.
	Who will teach the SDU classes at my local scrapbook store? SDU is taught by Certified SDU instructors at your local scrapbook store, who have participated in intense training at EK Success' facility. An SDU teacher has mastered the complexities of design and is ready to teach you all the design theories and elements so that you can create scrapbook pages effortlessly!
	There are no stores in my area that offer the SDU program. What can I do to get SDU in my area? If you cannot find a participating SDU store on the list in your area, let the manager or owner of your local scrapbook store know that you are interested in taking SDU classes in their store.
	If I live outside of the United States, can I take SDU through correspondence or an online service? SDU is a store-based program and is only offered in certified scrapbook stores. SDU is currently available in several countries and territories outside the US. Including Canada, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Puerto Rico, and Spain - please check the Store Listing for locations. SDU is not available as a correspondence, online or mail order program.
	How long does it take to graduate from SDU? SDU is a series of 10 classes that can be taken once or twice a week (or in an intensive weekend session) - it all depends on your crafting skill level and your local scrapbook store schedule. Upon completion of the 10-class program, you will receive a personalized SDU graduation certificate.
	Who gives me my SDU graduation certificate? The EK Elite store where you took your SDU classes is responsible for forwarding your certificate to you.
	How much does an SDU class cost? The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (in the US) is $10 per class for the first five theory lessons and $12 per class for the second five technique/project lessons. Although the entire program is $110.00, inquire at your local scrapbook store if a discount (or free SDU binder) is offered when you sign up for the entire program. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price for Methods classes (in the US) is $20 per class.
	In order to be eligible to teach SDU, you must qualify as an EK Elite Retailer. The qualifications for EK Elite status require meeting a minimum annual purchase of a specific amount and maintaining good credit standing within the EK Elite calendar year (September 1- August 31). After you achieve EK Elite status, you will receive many additional services and benefits, which includes the opportunity to teach SDU at your retail store.

	As a store owner how can I get trained to teach SDU? All EK Elite stores are eligible to attend the SDU training. Please contact your EK Sales Representative for more information on your store's eligibility. All store associates attending SDU training will receive extensive instruction in our state-of-the-art classroom in Clifton, NJ.
	I often teach scrapbooking on my own. How can I teach SDU® classes? We appreciate your interest in our educational program, however, SDU® is only offered through participating retailers. If you own a scrapbook store with EK Elite status, you may be eligible to send two representatives to be trained as certified instructors. If you do not own a store, then you would require an exclusive teaching sponsorship by an EK Elite store to attend SDU® training.
